The world of Oberin holds many wonders, from the natural and explosive power of the volcano to the beautiful, man made constructions of the Red City of Andris. More impressive than even these physical manifestations of Elara's and human will though, is the devotion, the bond that a people can possibly share with each other, when nothing, not even life, matters more than the cause. And the cause is to defend. We are the Mirith Vanguard, and we will protect our fair city, its citizens, our comrades, and the great land of Oberin to the very last.

A cold breeze slips through the streets of Mirith as quickly and quietly as a thief. Not a soul would have noticed it, it was so gentle, except that it caught upon a piece of parchment, snatching it with its cool hand and lifting it from its tentative perch on the wall. It fluttered woefully in the air for what seemed like an eternity before finding a path right towards you. On a whim, you snatch it out of the air, ending its adventure prematurely, only to find that, compared to the leaflet's actual age, the time it spent in the air is negligible.
The leaflet is headed by bold blue letters that form the words, "The Mirith Vanguard," and below that is their sword-crossed insignia. At the bottom of the page, it reads, "Now recruiting. If you are interested in serving your city and your land, contact Nasrith Neross of Mirith."
The pamphlet is old, that much is quite obvious. And yet, you get the sense that it is still a possibility, that it might even be worth an inquiry. Then the wind picks up once again, stealing the parchment away from you and putting it forever beyond your reach.
OOC: The Mirith Vanguard is very tentatively recruiting. For those of you that do not know, we are a role-playing guild based around the protection of the city of Mirith. If you are interested in joining, a number of things will be expected of you:
- Grammatical Correctness
- Role-Playing Experience and Aptitude (or at least an acquired skill)
- Knowledge of the Game
- Overall Skill in the Game
- Awesomeness
Any and all showing interest should contact me in game, whether it is to ask specific questions or just to get to know me and the rest of the Mirith Vanguard better.
All applications should be completely in character and sent to me via private message. Thank you.

You see a man dressed in a black robe, secured by a belt around his waist and by a pair of black plate arms and gauntlets at his arms. He walks through the streets of Mirith with his long time friend Amere following him a few feet back and to the side.
There is a slight breeze in the air, and though it seems normal, if one were to think of things in a different way, it may seem to them that this breeze was to carry a turning point in the Mirith Vanguard's future. Though the breeze subsides as the two of them enter the castle, the truth of the winds are still there. With a nod to Mattias, Nasrith passes him by and walks into the Royal Mirithian Forges, finding just the person he was hoping to. Though it was only a brief meeting, the words themselves made it rather obvious that something was about to change.
"I hope you're still making those badges, as we'll be needing a few of them soon enough," which took Mirith's Royal Blacksmith by some amount of surprise.
He barely had time to nod before Nasrith was out the door again, and headed back to Amere and Mattias, who it seemed had become better aquainted than when they had been left there together. "Good, he's already getting used to it here," Nasrith whispered to himself as he disappeared towards the castle entrance to the Mirith sewers. Chuckling to himself, he wondered how long it'd be before Amere even noticed he was gone.

The bodies have barely been cleared from the battle with the Alliance in Mirith, when I was approached by two friends of myself, and of all of Mirith I would imagine. Nedved II and Kitiana, walking side by side, thinking the very same thing. Nedved took a glance at my dirty, rather worn Mirith Vanguard badge,"Well, I hope you've got two more of those for us."
"Of course, we'd be glad to have you."
With that, the three of them set off towards the castle, all walking with a weight lifted off their shoulders. The coming battles will be tough, I'm sure, but with these two on our side, I'm sure it won't be all that hard.

Nedved II and Kitiana both need to be tagged. I'd like to welcome them to the guild in advance though. |

I had just returned from a rather fruitful adventure in the Tree Maze and beyond with much of the Mirith Vanguard, and was in the process of putting away the loot, when I heard a voice outside of the hall. Depositing the bag into one of the chests, I walked to the main entrance to see who it was. Iím not sure who else I would have expected it to be but Iceane. I had barely been out there for a moment when he yelled,îWell mate, whereís my share?î
I looked at him in a rather mischievous manner, and said,îExactly where it should be. Right here, in the hall. See, youíd know this if youíd just hurry up and get your badge!î
