Some of you suggestions are OK, some not so.
If you really want robes not to level as fast or at the bank, you got to take alchemy/enchanting completely out of the picture, truth be told clerics and wizards use these skills more than druids do. Just leave meditation and magery for mages and clerics and druids trade meditation with taming since druids rarely cast spells or not to the same degree as the other two.
I DON´T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN, EXCEPT ALCHEMY/ENCHANTING PART.
For plates, melee for rogues, parry for fighters, and archery for rangers. if a second skill it warranted then add the specials.
NO IDEA WHAT YOU MEAN.
On this point of giving clerics damaging spells, only if you give the other classes back the low level clerical spells. There is a reason why plates have mana, a throw back of the good old days. And if you're going to do that, give dragons back to druids and let them take out 3 at a time. And distract everyone by giving rogues the thieves skills, that way everyone will be too busy griping about rogues stealing their stuff to ***** about cleric bombardiers, playable druids, and the no more need to buy GHPs.
THIS STATEMENT IS A ********. IF YOU WILL MAKE SOME RATIONAL POINTS OF "WHY NOT", I MIGHT BE CONVINCED. BUT YOU MADE NO POINTS AND JUST STARTED TO SHOUT GIVE HEALING TO EVERYONE!!!
|
I have really no clue what you meant with this post overall... |

Learn to edit, don't stick you statements in as if they were mine. If you truly cannot understand, just review what you wrote earlier and it might make sense, I hope. But if it still doesn't, basically it states that if you are going to make changes to some classes you've got to make the same changes to all the classes.
It's obvious that you've played WoW for too long and want to bring some of that to Oberin. Here in Oberin, the classes play fare by not stepping on each others toes, and by that I mean, each has a specialty that the others don't. Hence the reason only clerics can heal now, There is a reason why plates have mana, its cause every class had all the low level spells at one point. If you did not get the joke, fine, but try to get the meaning behind it. |

| Wow! You don't get your way and you easily revert back into a troll.. Why is it so easy that trolls lay their traps and I walk smack into them. Oh well, those are the dangers of trekking through the forum woods. |

Davon,
Why deleting a post so many people replied to? (ignoring the last few posts...)
This is a general point about deleting posts in the forum, actually... once things are thrown in the open air and got reactions, it's a bit frustrating to see their original triggers deleted. And sometimes we all look a bit dumb replying to posts that don't exist anymore.
They were valuable ideas, and I don't get why taking them down. Is it a claim for copyright, and they would be available for discussion only while you would have a minimal connection to the game? If so, it's a bit sad.
Anyway, I'm sorry your old mac died for good, but it's not like you would be playing the game that much. At least, you can still get to the forum! |

I might have missed something, but what's so bad with installing rosetta?
doesn't make your computer slower
doesn't take much space
is very safe
allows you to run PPC programs
is quite fast doing so
completely free and is downloaded automatically when you
try to run a PPC app.
No downsides.... |

You are right. Sorry. I will use this last post of mine for returning the starting topic back (I had text version on Mac).
I'm not leaving because of G4. I found out G4 is broken when I tried to use it for deleting my characters, which was quite an irony. I'm leaving because I'm tired of arguing with idiots (and in some cases also anonymous cowards as someone before me called them). Like I don't have enough of that real life, when I have to meet with politicians or when I have to repeat everything three times to section director, before he understands and he forgets it within few days anyway...
I'm just working on implementation of 3 EU Directives which must be done soon™, In three weeks we have workshop about broadband, NGA and internet strategy for next 15 years, with prime minister as guest. I have enough frustration and stress in work, no need to add more in my free time.
________
Shogy: Snow Leopard is awesome, but I had to reinstall it 3 times already, while I didn't have single issue with Leopard. I'm not going to install any application which is not really necessary, because I don't want to have 4th reinstall to do. So I'm not going to install Rosetta just because I want to delete characters, when I could solve it by asking poor Jinker to do it for me. I don't use any PPC application nor game atm.
________
Have fun and the few of my friends of mine which are still Oberin active can catch me on AIM as usual!
I would like a forum ban too, but I asked for it in past once already and it was not granted. So let's just hope deleting the bookmark will do. |

| Rosetta is software that allows older OS X applications written for PowerPC (like Oberin) to run on the newer Intel Macs. |
