I've been trying and trying to submit a couple screenshots, but everytime I do it, it says the file is too big. Can someone please give me a tip or something?
Thanks |

I think the maximum picture file size is about 300 kilobytes.
You can try several things to reduce file size:
- Crop it some more.
- Save as .gif (reduces number of colors)
- Save as low quality .jpg
There are other ways to reduce file size, but the above are readily available from the Preview application. |

| Don't use a gif, it's old and just plain bad. If you use Preview you can save as a JPG then use the slider for quality, usually 50%-60% works best to make the file small yet shows the most detail. |

| Well I use photoshop, but besides the point... If I degrade the quality of the picture, rather than make it smaller, it will make the overall file smaller? |

| Well yes, but you don't want to make the quality too low for obvious reasons. |

| If you use Photoshop, then you can reduce file size tremendously by turning it into indexed color first (choose 64 colors or even less) and save it as a PNG. |
