Writing from a hastily made camp near Marali, the Ranger constantly keeps an eye to the ground for further signs of trouble.
Day 7 of the Dancing Moon, Year 436
After the auction in Andris, an elder Ranger named Sam and I sought adventure. We wandered the Skull Island Archipelago until I suggested that we brave Duldrus. Though Sam had encountered a Magma Golem prior to this excursion, the explorer admitted a Stone Golem would be a new experience.
We spent several hours in Duldrus, slaughtering Gapers and fleeing from Stone Golems. Eventually, Sam reminded me that he wanted to visit the abandoned Duldrus mining tunnels. Since I wished to view the derelict area myself, I consented.
Upon exploring the site, we first detected no enemies. Unexpectedly, I peered through a crack in a moss-veiled wall and noted a single Brigand on patrol. ìBRIGANDS!î I yelled as I ran to Sam. Rounding a corner, I found my ally already being attacked by three Brigands.
As I rushed forward to help him, two Brigands attempted to swarm me. The tattered Robe of Resistance on my back offered virtually no protection against their barrage of blows. To further complicate the situation, one of the Brigands crept around Sam, effectively blocking our retreat.
Too shocked to switch into my Plates, I nonetheless had the sense to loop around the marginally more intelligent Brigand and to retreat near the doorway into the tunnels. As I ran, Sam held off two Brigands at once. An unoccupied Brigand in front of Sam began stabbing me once more, and my head was barely clear enough to drop my weapons and begin chugging Potions.
In order to ensure my safety, Sam moved through the doorway, allowing the pair of us to regroup above ground. After many Potions and a brief strategy session, we vowed to end each and every Brigand in the tunnel.
We successfully brought down the Brigands in the tunnels, but Samís polished Ranger instincts led him to conclude there might be an ambush on the surface, an inclination that proved correct. Returning briefly to the surface, Sam and I were each successively mobbed by the five Brigands that awaited us. I agreed to lead the next charge against them, and my small bravery was followed by two Brigandsí cowardice. As I fought off three Brigands at once, a pair of them practically jumped down the ladder to escape our vengeance. Sam pursued, and I followed closely behind.
Sam held off the two Brigands, and IÖdecided that would be a fine time to make a sketch of the situation. Forsaking my duty to my friend, I knelt in a corner and drafted one image. Badly bloodied by the Brigandsí long swords, Sam cried out ìgah,î and I rushed toward the ladder to assist himÖonly to draft another rough picture with my shield hand. My apologies, Sam. ButÖyou must admit that the drawings look splendid!
AnyhowÖSam and I agreed the Brigands were scouting the mines in order to find a suitable base of operations. More than likely, the Alliance leaders will note the lack of reports from their scouts and conclude that the mines are not an acceptable site for further forces. And thatís fantastic. Especially since several Brigands could walk all over the skeleton crew left in Duldrus.
In all, eight Brigand heads were chopped and bagged by Sam. Since I spent my time doodling, he certainly earned the lot of the severed craniums.
-Nial the Ranger
Proud to not have broken another Extra-Strength Quill, the wanderer smiles to himself and drift to sleep. Little does he know that a small battalion of Poison Elementals and Sludge Beasts waits to attack him indirectly due to the envious Sam the GreenÖ |

A single Ranger sits writing at the lonely Andris bank, his handís movements as plodding yet unsteady as a Zombieís steps.
Day 100 of the Dancing Moon, Year 436
Upon waking in the Marali bank, I found three members of the ìRed Battalionî guild. Sheldon and Anniqa inquired about the ever-changing foes in the dank dungeons of our old Oberin, and Karad did his best to answer the pairís barrage of quick questions.
I joked about hunting with them despite not being in their guild. As usual, no one so much as smiled. Still, I sensed a Bracken to the northeast of the bank, and I suggested that we hunt the Brackens in that area. The trio of elders obliged my request.
We fought several Bracken, Gapers, and perhaps a Pixie and a Bone Mage before I found signs of abnormal activity to the southwest. ìHUMANS. TO THE SW!î I yelled, dashing off in that direction. My foolhardy bravery was rewarded by the quick discover of a Brigand Shelter, along with a pair of Brigands that began chasing me.
After nearly being killed, I retreated to the safety of Karadís spells, Sheldonís blades, and Anniqaís bow. The guildmates quickly dispatched the Brigands, and the Shelter soon fell like its inhabitants had. I captured a drawing at this moment.
I suggested that our company proceed to the southwest in order to purge Maraliís lands of any further Brigands. Shortly thereafter, I noticed additional signs of Brigands to the SW and shouted ìMORE. SW!î Our group rushed the Shelter only to be waylaid by around seven Brigands at once. This time, I saw a piece of paper near the Shelter. ìA note!î I cried out, and ran to read it even before the Shelter fell. I made still another depiction of the scene.
Later, we encountered a field of four Bracken. This intrigues me, though I remain certain it has nothing to do with the Alliance forces on Maraliís northeastern coasts. I still crafted a picture of the destroyed floraÖerÖfauna?
UmmmÖbased on the note alone, the Brigands clearly wanted alcoholic beverages. Yes. Marali is known for its whisky, and if the filth seeks inebriation, our drinks prove potent stuffÖor at least my friend Octar tells me so. I rather doubt that any other Brigands will return to Marali for a while. I nonetheless told the Guards to stay watchful.
Upon returning to the Bank, Sheldon informed our group we had collected 14 Brigand Heads, and the veteran Fighter offered me some blunt but necessary coaching. We located nothing else of note during the exchange, and my week in Marali would have been calmÖhad it not been for those two heinous cackles that only I could hearÖgetting closerÖhaunt like white shadowsÖ Here, the letter dissolves into an illegible scrawl, made more frightening by the repetition of six characters that one cannot quite decipherÖ |

(Note found tacked to the Mirith Bank)
Dear Fellow Adventurers
Be wary of Brigandage! While attempting to thin out the hill giant population around Mirith, our small party, which included Chloe, Octar, Barabus, Fuoco, Leda (and myself) were over-run by a surprise attack by Brigands.
Clearly, these brigands were rather organized, having unleashed their attack when were were fully engaged with three hill giants. I didn't make a head count, but I estimate their numbers were eight or ten. It was clever as well, as they attempted to pin us between the rocks and a small copse of trees.
If you venture into the Hill Giant country, assume you are under observation by brigands! |

Day 48 of the Blue Moon, Year 436
Alexia, Sam, Kevin, Chloe and I went up to take Ralston some spice at his cabin at the Wall of Trees. When we arrived, we were greeted by a band of Brigands. They had set up shelters by Ralston's fire, and at first we feared the resident had been killed.
After dispatching fifteen brigands, and bagging their heads for bounty, we ripped down the shelters, finding a few Lobster Pies inside. Beside the shelters a note was found. "Note to other Brigands don't go in alone.. that worked great for Wilson."
Going inside, we found Ralston in good health, and a corpse on the floor. The corpse of Wilson, the New Brigand. Apparently one doesn't live in the wilderness without learning self-defense. As the party wandered away, Sam was appalled to realize what Ralston might do with all those corpses. Laughing, the rest of us pointed out that the man would at least be well fed through the winter this year.

Day 97 of the Fighting Moon, Year 436,
To Marali First Scout Fang,
Captain,
I have been training in Mirith, and rather tired from my exertions against the hill giants I was about to turn in for the night. Yawning, I noticed the rogue Kip - or as Neblin has dubbed him "Kip the Murdering Madman" - walking nonchalantly up to the bank, inquiring about blue moon gin, and in the same breath casually mentioning a large encampment of brigands he spotted on the way from Marali. My slumbers left me, and I instinctively gripped the hilt of my longsword. Kip declined to lead the assembled company to their location, instead he thirstily went to indulge his cravings for the delicious distilled blue botanical beverage . "They're due North" was all he managed to divulge.
After an unfortunate incident where the normally indefatigable Larzz found himself grey-robed en route, we eventually tracked the Brigands to Gohoran. Lou Bene, Sumac, Crom, Angelica, Serancha, Chloe, Saraya, Larzz and I converged upon them, slaying them mercilessly. As we neared final victory, the Joy of Battle left my limbs as five brigands leapt out of a shelter, and like the murderous cowards they are directed their drunken blows at brave Angelica. We were swiftly avenged, and she was returned from the grey. Over fifty heads were taken. As well as blue-moon gin, these miscreants had accumulated some very interesting possessions...
Chloe let out a gasp of surprise as she found a silver leaf. At this point, the GoDs graced the Lord Sumac's pet wolf with the power of speech. "OMG! OMG!" exclaimed the blessed canine, much to the displeasure of the Lord Sumac "You are not supposed to believe in the Goddess!" he sternly admonished his carnivorous companion. Overcome with howls of laughter, I forgot to make a sketch of the occasion - I will ask one of my companions if they kept their wits (and their coloured crayons) about them.
Yours,
Armsman Octar

The five of us met on the steps of Andris bank. Crom and I had spent some time together a few days earlier but it had been a long time since I had seen Angelica, so I knew this was going to turn into a wonderful hunt. Much merry making and friendly banter passed as we caught up with each other and trotted off to the portal together. When we arrived on the Mirith side, I led the happy-go-lucky party towards the tree maze. We were in search of dragons.
Juff and Rosina straggled at the back, no doubt thinking up tricks to play on the rest of us, so we had to wait for them to re-join us. Somebody spotted some ale under a bush, so we drank. It wasn't long before we were closing in on the entrance to the maze.†
I decided to scout around while the others took a little break only to find myself face to face with our quarry! His mighty voice boomed out across the forest, "Leave now and I may spare you!". As I pretended to leave, he followed. I called out to my guildmates when we passed them, to head for the river. I've never seen a pair of clerics sprint so fast in my entire life. They must be the fastest in all of Oberin! This dragon was a tough old thing but we managed to take him down close to the water's edge. More beer spotted in some other bushes.
On returning to the entrance of the maze, another dragon was found and this time by Crom. We defeated it in situ and proceeded to enter the maze. We didn't get very far because a band of pixies attacked from the rear. I was paralysed for most of the battle so could do little to help. Honestly though, I was feeling a tad tired after the two dragons and so I was grateful for a bit of a rest. That done, we had some more ale that we found under another bush (seriously, this place is an alcoholic's paradise!). All of this was really hampering our progress to the point that it felt almost as though someone or rather something, didn't want us to go in there at all!†
I couldn't have been more right, our only way forward and into the centre was completely blocked by an impenetrable wall of fire! Worse than that though was the fact that we were not being allowed to leave, well not without a fight at any rate, for stood before us, laying in wait at the entrance was an army of brigands!
My friends and I rolled up our proverbial sleeves and got to work. Crom and I effortlessly sliced through their ranks as though they were rats at Lerilin docks with our loyal clerics doing all in their power to swing the balance in our favour. I even saw them fend off their own attackers! Punching, kicking and biting. Rosina with her favourite ring zapping two at a time. Juff was legendary, sparing not a thought for his own welfare and simply wading in like a lunatic turned psychotic with eyes glazed over and staring intent on victory.
And we had our victory. Glorious and well deserved. Four shelters were looted. They contained weapons of power and robes of protection not to mention my beloved lobster pies! Joyous!†
Totally exhausted we decided to make our way to the river and to share out the spoils. There is a saying, "It's not over until the fat lady sings". Well I don't know any fat ladies but one of the mercenaries that was waiting in ambush at the river did look at me in a funny way. So I did the decent thing and took her head before she had a chance to start into any singing.†
Everyone agreed it was a great hunt and we all now look forward to the next one. Where shall we go I wonder, we do have all that dust... |

152nd Day of the Fighting Moon, Year 436
The black, needle like branches of the trees scratched against each other, as the cool night breeze blew through the Lerilin Cemetery. Gilden, Osgar II, Hideaki and myself had finished clearing the cemetery of the undead.
As I began to meditate, my eyes were drawn into the forests pervasive darkness, just beyond the cemetery, as a silver beam of light from the moon reflected off a mental object. As my eyes began to adjust I saw a silhouette dart deeper into the blackness.
Instinctively I yelled 'Brigand!' and with no haste we ran to investigate.
As we neared the area where I spotted the Brigand my heart began to beat like a battle drum. I sought comfort in the fact that I was with two clerics, skilled in their art of healing.
The sound of my hearts rhythmic beating, pulsed loud in my ears but that was soon shattered by the thundering roars, as five Brigands thrashed though the bushes, long swords drawn, charging towards the Fighter Gilden. Both Osgar II and Hideaki got into position prepared to start the inevitable healing.
The fighter took a defensive stance as the Brigand swords simultaneously struck the shield of the fighter. The sheer force of the long swords cracked Gilden's shield straight down the middle, forcing him backwards. I began to hit the Brigands with all my strength and the lighting bolts lit up the night sky.
Gaining his balance, Gilden swung his Warhammer at the invaders. The brigands fought back thrusting swords against his breastplate. His Warhammer caved in the skulls of the Brigands with loud audible thuds and bits of blood, flesh and brain matter speckled his face. With the help of the clerics healing the fighter and myself the Brigands started falling to their death and the battlefield was soon littered with dead Brigand bodies. |

Year of the Goddess 436
On Day 226 of the Fighting Moon, my husband and I set sail towards the isle we have named Phase Serpent Island, hoping to indulge in some profitable deep sea fishing. The island was as peaceful as ever (well, except of course for the usual turmoil caused by Gawr fighting Sea Serpents - a lot of splashing, roaring and blood!) and, having taken my work basket along, I was indulging in some tailoring whilst waiting for my husband to return with his catch. Once the resources had been exhausted, we moved towards the north western side. I chose a spot by the shore and once again, settled down with my work until I saw Gawr return with our quarry. In the middle of the fight, I sensed a presence behind me and quickly turned - a rascal of a Brigand was making straight for me, and this whilst Gawr required my attention. I shouted so loud that I managed to overcome the noises of the splashing and the roaring, and my husband was in no time at my side.
"Get off me you fatty"! I shouted to the Brigand and one moment later he fell, blood pouring from the wounds which Gawr had inflicted. Needless to say, we searched the island and found more of his mates. We asked what business they had there but they were only prepared to answer with their swords, so this encounter also ended in a bloody fight. Once the battle was over, we counted 22 bodies - 20 Brigands and 2 Mercenaries. They had erected 3 shelters on the island but it was obvious that this was just a temporary camp, as just some food and some small matter of gold was found - we wondered where they were directed but the dead do not speak!
After ensuring the island was free of the invaders, we set sail in a north westerly direction. The waters were busy and we were obliged to take hasty refuge on the island which houses the Lord Marlick's guild hall. Here my husband took to sea again and, shortly after, he came back into sight with a fine specimen of a Sea Serpent, her scales glittering in the sunshine. Once I could divert my attention from my husband, my eyes caught a little glimmer on the sand, behind a small dune, I ran there and, to my surprise, somebody must have prepared a picnic as I found refreshments nicely laid out. I looked around but nobody was in sight, so I called my husband and we partook of the ale. I can tell you... the amber nectar was very much needed after our vicissitudes!
Gawr ventured into the waters again and all of a sudden I became aware of some other presence - luckily this time it was no rascal but the rogue Luciella who, seeing blood floating on the blue surface, had come to investigate. She explained she was on her way to Port Gast but ended up fishing with us for a while. She and Gawr were in the process of finishing off a very stubborn Sea Serpent when once again, my eyes caught something approaching from the south west. "Privateers!" I shouted. The rogue and the fighter immediately abandoned their task of cutting through the monster's belly and jumped next to me, ready to give battle. Thankfully, the pirates were in small numbers - we counted three of them - and they were easily overcome. One of them called Luciella a foul maiden before falling off his raft! I was really glad because at this stage I was displaying heavy signs of fatigue (or maybe the ale had been too strong?) and I could not even pronounce my husband's name correctly!
This was the end of our adventure. We parted from rogue Luciella with mutual feelings of respect and professions of friendship and made our way to town - the three giants who attacked Gawr seemed a child's game in comparison to what we had been through! Dodging behind the buildings, I quickly went to wash and change my robe, lest Fuoco should see me in such a mess and start some lecture! |

This morning I awoke after a restful night and decided to see if juff was around. Using the magic orb, I spotted him somewhere in the South West of Andris and wondered what he was up to, so I left town and, after some hesitation, turned the corner of the city walls. I was no longer under the caring eyes of the guards now!
I did not have far to go though and found him in good company - he had joined three friends from Red Battalion - Anniqa, Sheldon and Karad. I tagged along and we fought our way through the woods, chatting pleasantly. During one of our conversations, juff expressed the wish of seeing a Phase Serpent again and, all being in agreement, I led the party (Karad was to re-join later) to the island where we had once fought one.
None to be seen but plenty of his cousins festering the seas, so we set hard at work and, once we had cleared the coast on the south-eastern side of the island, I suggested we should move in the opposite direction. Here our ranger's abilities located some humans so we asked her to go and check and bring them to us. We had misinterpreted Anniqa's words... she clarified that these were probably Brigands and they were not at sea, but on the island!
We all got ashore and advanced cautiously... sure enough, a few of the rascals soon confronted us but alas! We were badly deceived! What had seemed to be a small detachment occupying one little shelter, turned out to be somethig bigger - the Brigands kept coming and coming and soon we were overwhelmed. juff and I unfortunately lost our lives as we got heavily surrounded. Anniqa and Sheldon had disappeared from sight but we would occasionally see one of them running around, chased by the rascals.
With that marvellous gift that allows ghosts to communicate to each other, I announced to juff that I would attempt a visit to the temple, assuring him that my body would be safe on the sand, whereas he had fallen on the water and there was always the danger of some Sea Serpent affected by unhealthy curiosity.
I did not waste much time- after coming back to life, I just grabbed a few healing and invisibility potions and departed. My voyage back was blessed by the Goddess - I had no nasty encounters and, upon approaching the island, I could see that the faithful juff had abandoned his body to come and guard mine - may he be forever blessed! We were alone and I could bring him swiftly back to life, and soon after we were relieved to see our friends approach, even though the news they brought was by no means reassuring. They told us of a fort which had been erected on the south-eastern side of the island and that this was very well manned.
We looked at each other, then decided to advance cautiously and try and fight them a few at a time so, after supplying my friends with some very much needed potions, we set off to face the rascals. To our joy, Karad was now seen approaching the island so we quickly briefed him and carried on with our plan - an extra pair of hands was certainly most welcome!
We got rid of the first wave of Brigands and slowly moved forward to brave the next lot. There were many of them and they were accompanied by Mercenaries too! The battle was intense and I was beginning to feel some serious concern when the sound of healing spells was carried to my ears by the wind - what was this? To my immense surprise and relief, two more formidable Rebels came into sight - Angelica and Crom! I do not know by what miracle they happened to land on the island and there was no time for questions and pleasantries, but I knew that now we constituted a non indifferent force to be reckoned with.
Warmed and reassured by this addition to the party, we now abandoned any caution and plunged deep into battle until none of the enemies was left standing. We broke into the fort and took possession of the Brigands' belongings - robes and weapons, then gathered by the shore and engaged in a pleasant chat, after which we said good-bye to Angelica and Crom and returned to town - everybody now was in need of some rest!
Regrettably, once again we were unable to determine the reason for such a heavy presence of Brigands so close to Andris. |

| The Rebel ranger Garret Jaxe studied the ground in front of him as he tracked for unsuspecting prey. Tracking was more than the ability to read your surroundings. It took all the senses and unified them so that a ranger could also feel the presence of creatures and men. It was that feeling he had now that told him humans were not far from where he stood. Close to Andris cemetery, just south of the entrance, a group of Brigands had set up camp. Garret was no Sumac and he knew he was in danger and only his skills with the bow coupled with speed would allow him to survive the fight that would soon take place. The Brigands wasted no time in pursuing the ranger but Garret kept his wits about him as he let his arrows fly. In time seven Brigands lay dead, there bodies littered with arrows. Garret wondered if these same Brigands had been the ones who had stalked Rosina a few days ago. The shelter was a basic camp but did have 5 DTís. He smiled as he saw lobster pies and could not help but to think of Gawr. |

Day 158 of the Sleeping Moon, Year 436.
The Rangers Mamoru and Kalen, while searching the Lerilin continent, stumbled upon a lone Brigand close to the Hermit's Hut. Without a word, the Brigand started to run so the Rangers gave chase while pleading for him to stop and chat a while. After meandering through the Harpies and Ants, the Brigand entered the forest entrance of the Ant Cave with the Rangers close behind. Upon entering the cave, there was no sign of the Brigand so the Rangers decided to exit the cave near Lerilin.
It was then that they discovered the Brigand's ruse, it was a trap! A horde of Brigands had barricaded themselves into the Ferrite enclave surrounding the entrance. Outnumbered and out-manoeuvred, Mamoru was slain after a valiant attempt to defend himself and Kalen had barely survived the onslaught. After word was sent across the lands of this new Brigand foothold, Kookai, Serancha and Kevin answered the call. Without a cleric but without fear, Kookai took the lead position with the Rangers supporting. The Brigand defence was very strong but ultimately no match for the threesome (and their magical rings) and Lerilin's dirt paths were made safe once more. |

Day 208 of the same Later Sleeping Moon, Year 436.
After faring-well to Viking-helm'ed Zana the also-fighter, Gilante and eager cleric Galena (the rogue was the one who looked more like a chicken, with yellow shirt and red boots under green hat, shining in Mail) went towards Rygarth at the dock. Gilante stopped to Backstab and Decimate the incoming rats, as they'd been separated in Lerilin on a reagents run into the fishing village.
A lone Pixie appeared on the watery horizon, then another, and gradually focused-upon the ones who could least attack them, so the rogue finished them off, with much fumbling due to their speed and the extreme iciness he had grown used to, even in the bright morning. The Pixies dead, no Sea Serpents attracted, they returned, until only a Brigand began to pursue Galena, their cleric, who'd just followed-out, such that the rogue was forced to Backstab the man. He said: "Gimme your gold!" with his low, purple health status telling us he wasn't doing this for love of life.
Next, two more appeared along the coastline, now, and immediately surrounded the now definitely no-longer sulking Rygarth the barefoot fighter, killing him between two trees. Gilante later Lumberjacked at these to try to keep them from covering, his possessions, which after Gelana found him, brought him back to wholeness. Being tired and otherwise desiring to get Dragon Teeth, the metal-wearers and leather-clad (which looked mostly-purple, due to much color, of it) cleric, respectively, each went their own ways peacefully. |

no Pic-type image, again, but at least a different, textual, recording. Then again, no real new information, either; we survivors each then went off to practice Bolting skeletons and /or using Poisoned daggers on them, or in the barefoot barbarian's case, nature appreciation after a bit of Ant and Rat Caving. |

Day 231, Sleeping Moon, Year 436
After a long day of rest, and relaxation at my glorious home in Mirith, I decided to go for a walk. I guess to see how my fellow men and women were doing, in these dangerous times in the land of Oberin. I put on my finest armour, and headed towards the bank, because I knew I was sure to see a familiar face in this area. As I approached the famous Bank of Mirth, I was greeted by my long time friend Sher. She was on her way to the Rock Maze to slay the infamous Hill Giants, and I couldnít turn her invite down for such an exciting adventure.
As usual, I agreed to enter first when we approached the Rock Maze, to make sure everything was safe. Sher was right behind me, ready to attack with an instant, a great wizard in her own right, I knew I had the appropriate help for anything. As I walked along the grass path into the giants realm, I felt something was very strange.
I could hear a group of loud voices in the area, which was usually only occupied by giants. I pulled my sword from my side and approached the corner slowly. I nearly lost my breath from the sight that I saw. An army of Brigands had set up camp in a pocket of the maze and I counted well over one hundred of the scoundrels. As Sher and I quietly crept around the large boulders that separated us from an easy death, I knew a long, hard battle was ahead of us. We sent out the message to mighty warriors all
ï
o over Oberin and prepared ourselves for an epic battle of mammoth proportions
Helped arrived shortly, great warriors, clerics, and wizards from all over Oberin answered the call for help. Fulhal, our only cleric had a great deal of responsibility on his hands and his experienced and dedication in the art of healing aided him well . Others such as Krem, Hacton, Nalek, and Serancha had seen this activity many times before, but for myself and Sher, this was a battle we were unsure of.
I charged in first, being a fairly novice fighter, this was a foolish move. I was rushed by not only a Hill Giant, but also 5 Brigands who were angered at the site of us penetrating their strong hold. I retreated back to the help of my group and the attackers died quick to the weapons of the experienced warriors.
Fuhal healed the wounds with haste during this ultimate battle. It was a slow, lumbering game of manoeuvre and double-guessing as Serancha moved back and forth with Giants and the camp of Brigands, luring them in small groups to their deaths.
I recall Hacton, reaching for his bow aiming for the throats of the vigilant Brigands, one shot at a time, the piercing arrows penetrated his targets. The Brigands had no time to scream as the sheer force of the arrows tore windpipes out. Their eyes barely even registered surprise as the life faded from them, bringing them to a slow painful death.
I fought side by side with Krem against giants as tall as I the eye could see, I knew I was in for the fight of my life. I lunged to strike the giant in his leg, trying to chop him down, so Krem could finish him. This giant had seen this tactic before as he kicked me with his tree trunk size legs, throwing me against the rock wall which surrounded us from freedom.
Two Brigands ran towards me screaming, I thought that my days as a warrior was coming to an end, when Sher stepped in front of me paralyzing the two Brigands. Nalek ran over to aide us, and with a swift movement of his hands electrocuted the two Brigands to their death.
After we finished the first wave of enemies, we arrived to the heart of the Brigand camp. We stood for a moment looking confused. The camp was separated from us by fire.
We thought vigourously on how to remove this obstacle so we could bring the filthy Brigands to their rightful deaths, but none of us had an answerÖ until Nalek amazingly removed one of the one obstacles. The fight was on again! We yelled to the other warriors, as they were walking home not sure of what to do.
Serancha once again pulled out her bow and precisely took down Brigands with a swift arrow to the skull. I watched as she patiently stood, bow drawn back, scanning the enemies bodies for the kill shot. As blood spattered everywhere I found it hard to determine where to swing my sword next. Fulhal kept working vigourously to heal and protect us, as Nalek and Sher casted various spells to weaken and poison are enemies as Krem and Hacton continued to slash, tear and kill the enemies.
The leader of this camp finally appeared, wearing black metal plate pants armor, we knew he was coming to protect his alliance. Everyone swarmed the leader, he took strike after strike until he too fell to his death. Everyone contributed in this glorious battle, and as the Brigands swarmed us, we seemed to get stronger ending their lives swiftly. We finally made it to the shelter, where we then destroyed it, taking the heart right out of the camp, but the battle was not yet won. We still had to escapeÖ.
We all ran towards the exit of the Rock Maze, only to be met by more bloodthirsty Brigands. They did not know what they were up against. Krem swung his weapon at the skull of a downed Brigand crushing it in one violent blow. The scream alone was enough to scare away the rest of the clan.
We continued to battled swiftly until we finally had a way out of this hell. Myself and Sher had fallen to the blades of these horrible creatures, but thanks to Fuhal we were resurrected very quickly. As we made our way to the exit exhausted, we were all very happy that we made it out, victorious. As we all stood on the bank splitting our loot, bloody and triumphant, I know that I will always remember this day, as the day, a mere 7 warriors battled an army of Brigands and won. |
