Not sure if this was mentioned elsewhere, but Jedd and I have been adding a couple of IC biographies of players in the wiki, since they, too, are a fundamental part of some RTQs and of the Oberin world in general.
We're also having some more people writing the biography of their own character (within the boundaries of objectivity, of course).
So this is just a reminder, if you'd like to write yours. And if you are too shy to edit the wiki directly, feel free to send it to one of us.
Oh, and since you're at it, have a look at the pages on Quest Characters, Historical Items, and Historical Events. We're adding entries to those slowly and it's still very incomplete, but the goal is to have all those names with a blue link at some point soonish. |

| There is a section in the IC forums where there are some biographies. I can't remember who started it but mine are in there if you need a search refferance point. |

I remember a thread on that. Good idea. I'll fish it at some point. People can always update their bios. |

I approve of this message!
But yeah, remember to keep it in the third person and at least TRY to make it as objective as possible. I understand if you want to brag about yourself in your biography and that's fine, just make sure there is factual basis to it!
Regarding those IC autobiographies that were found. Since they're written in the first person, it sounds a little weird to just copy and paste them into pages on the wiki. All that needs to be done here is to insert a little blurb that introduces the autobiography. For example:
"The following primary source is taken from an autobiographical writing/article/entry/document/etc. on Tholarius in the Year..."
Ok, I'm done. Thanks! |

Oh yes, and they want write-ups on each guild as well. |

| Guild "write-ups" can simply be sourced from the guild forum if such exists. |

Oh, sure, I've done it on the summaries, but can bring it to the main text. I would still like to add two or three lines about the characters, in any case. But it's better than nothing. |

They can, but when Jedd approached me, he said he would prefer to have each guild leader write their own, if possible. It's a personal choice, but I think it is nice that those leading the various guilds have the option to do this. |

I think it is also interesting in some cases to have a "first person" record as flavouring or explanation of intentions, and a "how this is seen" record as introduction.
For example, you might write about the Rebels in a modest fashion, and people might want to add in a blurb that the Rebels were a fundamental school throughout several generations of players. After all, when we write about Qchars it is always from an external point of view.
*edits* Fixed two typos. Thanks, Laricen. |

| Shouldn't Roman and Krispos be on the list of notable players? |

| Probably... The list has some strange criteria based on levels (which I think is a bit silly). But you can write their biographies anyway! |

I don't DO autobiographies...
But i'll be interested to see what people post. I'm looking forward to hopefully laughing my head off when I see certain... entries... |

| I keep trying to write one about Neblin but after I finish them I feel like they are too long (a little over a page). Is there some sort of acceptable length for one or does it just not matter? |
