Post subject: Which do you prefer?

Since almost everyone has a different way they look at the screen, we wanted to ask what you prefer.
There will be a new bar in the next update, I'm not going to talk about that here. Instead, I want to know which of the two type you prefer. One is the same size as the health bar now, just doubled, the other is cut in half.
The first one is doubled, the second is cut in half, third is full health half other.

| Double please. The smaller one makes me have to strain my eyes too much, and doing that at all, let alone on a screen is not healthy. |

I like the small one.. but it might be too hard to see when playing.. So the double one will probably look better. Though I believe they should be one pixle closer together, as it looks a bit strange with a gap between the two bars.
And idea is that you could just make so the health bar is the double sized and the yellow bar is the smaller sized.

| Double normal size is still better. But don't forget that some player doesnt have big pumped up computer. So maybe the cut in half mode is better for the lag |

| I don't think the size of them will make any difference to the running Frosky. I quite like the gap between them, it helps my eyes distinguish at a glance better. |

I like the look of the "cut in half" from a design stand point, but think that the "double normal size" would be more functional in game . Satyricon brings up a good point about keeping the health bar at normal size with a half size yellow bar, depending on what the yellow bar is and how important it will be to get a quick read at a glance.

Not knowing what the other is... I like the new full health half other. It gives emphasis to the health bar (in my opinion probably more important) keeping it more visible to you and other players (clerics). With them both the same I think it may be less noticeable when someone's health is low and in need of help. Also, if the yellow bar is something like mana only you really need to know where/how full it is. You are in the center of the screen at all times making it easy to monitor your own bars therefore requiring less emphasis.
So, unless only you can see your own yellow bar I would vote for full health half other. Unfortunately I already voted for double normal size before the new option was added. |
