| Crom and Angelica were attacked by several Brigands at the entrance of Lizard Fort. Not knowing how many more lurked within the compound they waited for aid. REDMAN, Fuoco and the warrior Kookai helped with the search of more Birgands but the Fort seemed to be empty of them. |

| Rosina was in a cheerful mood when she found Crom talking to the wizard Fuoco who was just leaving to continue her studies. With a grin on her face she asked Crom if he would like to go fishing. Crom laughed knowing what Rosina's kind of fishing meant. So off they went making Sea Serpents there catch of the day. There hunger for more lead them to Hermits lake where the "fishing" was as good as ever. As they made there way to Lerilin, deep in conversation, they were ambushed by Brigands. They became seperated for a brief time but soon reunited to finish off the remaining Brigs. |

Dear Borti,
I know you are unable to visit these lands for a while, but I thought I would tell you of another Brigand incursion close to the southern borders of our territory.
I had patrolled the perimeter of our city for some while, and found nothing untoward. Feeling a little restless, I went to visit Torcara in Mirith. As I approached the bank, I spotted Lord Sumac in his Wong-cultist uniform, carrying his bow with intent, and this sparked in me the thought of a hunt in the forests. Hailing him breezily, I was glad when he agreed to lead a little party. Kelan, Elwood, Fulhal and my dear friend Kim were at hand, and we all set off towards Gohoran. Scything through the local giants and dracos, we thought to essay the more dangerous Northeastern side of the river. Things nearly got problematic when a flock of pixies interrupted us whilst fighting a tribe of giants, but we prevailed without casualties. Making our way home, Kim found need of a short break, and popped behind a suitable tree.
Brigands are entirely without manners, and a couple of louts clearly noticed the lady wizard's indisposition and charged drunkenly towards her. We gave them the traditional welcome, and Sumac was able to track many more in the direction of the entrance to the tree maze.
Advancing cautiously through the local wildlife, we were joined by Serancha and Kevin. With many giants and bracken about, as well as a substantial brigand force, the fighting was tough. Sadly, Elwood fell with many brigands surrounding him. After he was brought back from the gray, Serancha and I forged ahead to destroy their three shelters, and after a brief struggle victory was ours. No fewer than 71 heads were taken, and I have a feeling that one or two of these miscreants escaped. Some robes and weapons were brought back as trophies - I am itching to try out my Katana.
Yours,
Octar |

Letter to Crom c/o Rebels Guild Hall
Dear Crom,
It seem the rascals are up to something indeed - some business of their own in some cases no doubt, others being paid by that wretched Master Rem. I had told you that one day under the Sleeping Moon, I was stalked by one during one of my constitutional walks beween the portal and the bridge but he refused to answer my questions and drew out his sword... yes it was the same day that Rosina came to call me and juff after spotting one SW of town and then you came to help us search the area! But what is this I hear, that you and my niece lost your heads?
Well, at least some of them it seems. After parting from you in Lerilin, on Day 71 of the Waking Moon she travelled back to Andris but, instead of going to bed, she decided to go and see if she could steal a brown robe from a Zombie for the young cleric Galena, who is currently finding her strengths in Lerilin under the guidance of the good Gwyddeon before she returns to visit us in the red city.
Rosina tells me that on the path she was confronted by a brigand and, after a brief moment of surprise, she counter-attacked by using her magic ring. She then proceeded towards the cemetery but spotted another brigand coming from the north east. This time she drew her bow out and, after shooting her attacker down, decided to scout the area. She found a total of 7 - some she was trying to shoo off, to one she shouted "Get off me you ugly fish-face!" but they all met the same fate - a shower of arrows sent them back to their maker. The girl muttered to herself "courage, Rosina" before venturing a little further to check the area and, satisfying herself that none was left lurking in the woods, she cautiously approached a shelter she had spotted earlier, destroyed it with her bow and she found it to contain a small matter of food and money. She came to the conclusion that perhaps they too were after some robes of protection, camped as they were in the vicinity of the cemetery!
It seems therefore that she found the heads you lost after all! Rosie was to have written to you herself but our little warrior mage is still busy bragging about it and showing the heads she cut off to all the shopkeepers and the guards in Andris - how very embarrassing!
Yours,
Foo |

Heike, myself and young wizard Iwurau were happily chatting in the park whilst indulging in one of the mages' favourite activities, fighting Bracken, when our banter was rudely interrupted by the appearance of a Brigand, shortly followed by another. The young wizard, too painfully aware of his limited capabilities, ran to find Adam, whose spider joined forces with Heike's lion to defend their masters and our little group proceeded to search the beach. Alas, it was too late for poor Heike when she realised she had landed herself right in the middle of a large group of rascals. I nearly followed her fate - my life was hanging on a very thin thread when by some miracle I managed to disentangle myself from my attackers and ran in an easterly direction, past the rocks, two Brigands hot in pursuit. I just managed to heal myself, cursing in my mind for leaving my magic rings behind, before the two drew closer again, then my thoughts went to the bow I was carrying, so I armed it and started firing arrows. To my relief, the rascals fell to the ground and I paused to catch my breath whilst staring at their dead bodies, then my mind went back to the scene I had left behind. My companions, my poor companions.. I must rescue them! I spotted a lone traveller on the path and begged him to go find wizard Karad in town and direct him to me with the utmost urgency. I then cautiously made my way back up to the beach following the rocks, ready to hide, and caught the attention of two more Brigands. The good Karad reached me as I was making ample use of my bow and, having briefly explained the situation, we both proceeded towards the camp, our group now strengthened by Fuoco's old friend Marlick and the mute cleric Luscinia.
All the Brigands were now dead, Adam and Heike had found a new life at the temple and it was with immense relief I learned their beloved pets had survived. Our party searched the area to the south east but no further trouble disturbed our day. |

Dear Fuoco
I would not say we lost our heads. Rosina had been targeted by two Brigands and seven remained on me as she took flight. I followed her as best I could but soon lost her with other creatures now joining the battle. She was not able to orb me as she had passed her orb of seeing to me prior to our attack to make room for loot. As my hands were full, I made use of potions and my weapons and laid waste to the Brigs and whatever else lingerd. I found her safe not far off as she also had did battle with several creatures. We then hunted down the remaing Brigs. |

(OCC: Posting for Musti)
As he entered the Bat Cave of the Rock Maze, Desmond encountered a great number brigands. Understanding discretion to be the better part of valor, he thought it best to report his finding to his brother Mustafaa, and so he made a hasty return to Mirith. Upon hearing Desmond's news, Mustafaa made his way to the cave to investigate his brother's discovery. A great number of brigands were there, thirty five in total. It was this same number that soon fell to the mighty Mustafaa. In the two brigand shelters, he found a robe of resistance, a stave of power, and some pumpkin pie. |

Day 167 of the Waking Moon, Year of the Goddess 437
It took the presence of an old friend whom we had not seen for some time and her request for assistance on a matter of explosive dusts, that brought my aunt on a rare visit to Mirith. I thought I could take a little rest now but no, this was not to come... Fuoco volunteered my services to a young fighter by the name of Fanto! I placed a ginseng as a bookmark on the page of the tome I was reading and, after checking my pockets and ensuring my bow was in good working order, I introduced myself to the young fighter and informed him I was ready to proceed. To my delight, Cydney said she would accompany us on our visit to the local cemetery, even though as it turned out she was obliged to delay her participation in our little venture and, to my amusement, Kookai asked if he could come along.
Fanto, Kookai and I therefore left Mirith together and commenced our work of clearing the burial grounds of troublesome skeletons and zombies, the young fighter seeking advice from the veteran. After a while, the swishing sound of arrows announced the arrival of an archer and Barabus came into view - he looked pleased with himself when he told us he had found a Holy Dagger and enquired where he should go and trade it. Well, as we were engaged in the conversation, my eyes caught a brigand emerging from the vault and I raised the alarm.
We immediately got ready to give battle then Kookai announced he would check the crypt and disappeared from sight. My mind gets foggy now... I have confused memories of undead surrounding young Fanto near the entrance to the vault, and every so often a couple of Brigands (some of them injured) emerging from the crypt, then a wounded Barabus came into sight - I had not even realised he had followed Kookai down! I healed him and then lost sight of him again... when he re-emerged, it was beyond my powers to keep him alive - I think the wall formed a solid barrier between my spells and the ranger. It was with immense relief that I saw Cydney approach - she helped Fanto get rid of the attackers, I brought Barabus back to life (immediately after that he decided to carry on with his plan and travel to Brigobaen) and we descended into the crypt where we found the good Kookai fighting the remainder of the rascals. Kookai then escorted Cydney to the chest on the first level of the crypt and it became clear by its contents that the Brigands had used it for storage - we found food and drinks besides two immaculate robes of protection - a black and a blue one!
We descended into the next level of the crypt but found no evidence of brigand activity there. Our mood was a jolly one when we returned into the open air and gave the undead a hard time, then we returned to town and I bade good night to my companions. |

roughly day 177 of the waking moon year 437
young rogue Darchine was spending some time at the bank, when the fighter Rygarth said something about "looks like there's some things going on in lerilin, i'm going to go there"
having spent enough time at the bank, Darchine decided it would be a good idea to go as well, Rygarth used the magic portaling system to lerilin, while the rogue felt as if she needed to hone a few skills, so a walk was necessary, a walk with very littler altercation eventually brought her to the lerilin cemetary where she met some other travelers
Gwyddeon the wizard
Roch the ranger
Rygarth the fighter
Mirrim the cleric
and Galena the cleric.
as she had shown up, there was a few bodies of dead zombies in the cemetary entrance, they had done quite well slaying the undead, there were candles that no one had put down in the entrance also, seemingly odd. After the crew had hastily cleared out the skeletons left inside the cemetary, they decided it would be good to go out back and clear the rest. After the final blow on the last skeleton in the back, the young rogue went a little bit south to check if there were more skeletons, then the ambush began, she spotted 2 brigands and quickly retreated back to her party with a yelp, they quickly sprang to action, brigands came in waves, more and more, the ranger and the fighter took big bites, and after more and more they seemed to take a little too big of a bite, Rygarth fell to the grey, as well as Roch in a retreat into the water, the rest regrouped, we slowly fought through the rascals, slicing their heads off as prizes for ourselves, the ones who well were brought back into the world of color, and searching we found a shelter, we dismantled the shelter and found a protection robe in the red color.
after all was said and done, there was 17 heads to split amongst our party, as well as game for the robe. |

Kevin_Krem already gave a lovely description of the events that occurred on day 177, Year 437 around the Lerilin Cemetary. Here is some visual evidence of what we experienced.
Darchine was just north of us, probably finishing off the final few of the initial bunch. |

Day 12 of the Growing Moon, Year 437
My niece was giving a guided tour of the Andris Park to young fighter Fanto, accompanied by Galena and Gwyddeon, when she had the happiness of meeting our good friend D'Arkk - the ranger was invited to join the little party and, just for fun, she and Gwyddeon watched as D'Arkk, Galena and the fighter punched an evil tree which had grown close to the beach. It was whilst thus absorbed that a group of brigands landed on the shore and attacked the jolly brigade. Rosie being Rosie, she tried to distract the attention of some of them and ended up being chased along the beach, turning and firing when she could. She then returned towards her companions and, seeing D'Arkk engaged in a fight at sea, rushed to his side to lend a hand, They both rushed to land to find Gwyddeon busy firing his magic bolts and a very worried Fanto looking at Galena's ghost - the poor cleric had succumbed to the swords of two of the cowards! She was amply avenged though! D'Arkk took his leave at that stage so I missed him when I arrived.
I was asleep hidden in the rocks nearby and the commotion on the beach awoke me... when I joined the party, I was told that thirteen heads had been cut off but some scoundrels had escaped. Realising that I was still in my night gown, I hastily hid behind a tree and got dressed, then announced I would search the waters, but I could not find the survivors. It could well be that. in the next few days, some will be found at large, probably tending their wounds, so be wary if going fishing in the area!
It was a great day for young fighter Fanto who found some new strengths both in the woods and at the cemetery, where he proudly got to fight and slay a Bone Mage! |

After a wander in the woods, with defeated Hell Hounds behind my heels, I stepped into the forge at Port Gast. The fresh sea air and the warm burning of the forge had put me at ease and warmed my toes.
While making what small repairs I could, I noticed something unusual from the corner of my eye. Brigands prowled about the lonesome port town.
I raised my sharpened Katana and walked into the streets. The heavy thoughts upon my barbaric mind lightened as the Brigand drew down upon me. We engaged in battle. It seemed as if he would drop a blow deep enough to send me into the grey, so I fled into the waters. As I quaffed a potion in a tactical flight, I noticed another Brigand roaming the streets of Port Gast.
I traded blows with the silent Brigand upon the shifting waters, until he turned to flee. I swiped his head and snatched his gold as his body drifted with the current of the waters.
I returned to the Port Town to find the other Brigand still walking freely about. I took his head as well. I surveyed the area and found no more cause for alarm. At least no more than usual. I would be happy to say that Port Gast is safe again, but danger always lurks there.
I can only state that there are two less Brigands in Oberin.

A hasty note is left at the Marali Bank
Travelers: beware brigands and pixies at the entrance to the tree maze. It seems to be a favorite spot for an ambush at present. Anniqa, Isen, BB, Fuoco, Sheldon and Octar slew a dozen brigands and a half-dozen pixies there last week. We were unable to discern their purpose, and could find no shelters in the vicinity.
