Giant wingless pixies... also known as Elves. Most of the magic using creatures are somewhat sinister. Pixies are great because they are a bit silly not particularly malevolent. I think Elves would be a great addition to the creature cast. There are so many versions of Elves out there you could go with any version. They could be used as a magic-using alternative to brigands or as town NPCs.
I see the introduction of a new humanoid race good story fodder. Perhaps we could be witness to a war where Elves (or Dwarves) displace Lizard Men from their island and scatter them to all corners of Oberin. |
