I haven't been at the Druidic arts too long, but I've noticed that druids have a real weakness when it comes to water. When brigands or privateers happen on the water, there is very little we can do that's constructive. Aside from stringing a bow, or suiting up in some plate and going hand to hand, we have no good alternatives. All our good spells don't work all too well on them. Summoning Water Elementals tends to upset other players more than helping anything.
What to do?
We could use another water pet, but in order for that to work, we'd need water stables. I suggest all the docks in Oberin become water stables. Perhaps that bridge in Mirith with the seagull could serve as one. Or... put a little pool inside of each stable that would allow us to summon our pets to the pool and then stable them.
A maxed out Water Elemental might be kind of formidable, and better than nothing in a pinch, but it would still be fairly weak and slow in a fight against the things you really need them for. No one actually wants a Harpie. They can only hit level 8 anyway.
I hope for something new. |

I agree. I have been on many hunts where we wind up on water and I am nothing but dead weight. A level 5 W/E does little to nothing but confuse a situation when there is NO distinction between a summoned creature, and a wild one.
I would like to suggest that summoned creatures are labeled in a different color as are tamed pets. It would not need to be the same color, but something to alert the party that it is not a potential threat, but an asset.
Also, I would love the ability to summon a creature of your taming level, instead of a level 5 creature. How does that sound? Or perhaps a chance of summoning up to your taming level. |

And with level 10 we summon dragons, yay I always wanted to at least summon the odd co...
But back to topic, you are able to assist with a harpie or a pixie as for now, not only water pets. |

And Fire Elementals in the Sky?
Sorry...I saw the title and I had to say it.
As for the idea itself I think it's great. I'm no druid, but it seems like they really don't have many options on the water. I personally like the 'aquarium' or water stable idea. |
