(*Warning: this RTQ report contains extremely violent puns and scenes of a spicy nature*)
Brother,
As you know, brigands are often much addicted to ale. It seems that they have discovered what we speakers of the old Oberinian dialect have long known: that the natural partner for a good beer is a good curry. The hermit it transpires knows this too, and had gathered many sacks of delicious spices for some sea-serpent balti - but had been forced to barricade himself in against marauding brigands with the munchies.
The Hermit put out a distress call, sending harpies carrying a plea for aid to Mirith, Lerlin and Andris. No message arrived in Marali, presumably the carrier-harpie fell victim to a draco en route. Fortunately Armsman Gwyddeon was sojourning in Lerilin, and sent his own message to me. Gathering an orange pure and a red wizard, I came to the hermit's aid raita way. Many others were cumin from Lerilin, and we met Shadran Matthas, Crom, Angelica, Hisashi, Serancha, Rondino, Whisp, Sam, Fygor, Kenneth and our fellow armsman Gwyddeon near the lake. With the brigands, mercenaries, pixies and sea serpents, there was never a dhal moment, and sadly many adventurers slipped into a korma - the weather of course was very chili. Eventually we managed to rice to the occasion, and when there were naan left, the hermit generously provided some sacks of spice for us to tikka way.
I had better get back to mining, to make samosa the full harvest moon.

My Friend,
Where did you acquire such exquisite spices--and such a command of the language we speak?
When I retire, you simply must supply me with these exotic flavours, as you would say.
When I at long last make another entry into my private journal, I will first have you critique my style, and I will perhaps ask you to inject a certain degree of humor into my otherwise dry entries.
With Awe, and Reverence,
Nial the Ranger |
