While mining in Lerilin, the fighter spotted a shadow beside him. Unsheathing a long sword and bracing himself for an attack, he noticed the shadow belonged to a mercenary and the following conversation ensued
(Human): hail Lord Bronte
(Human): are you mining?
(Bronte): I was
(Bronte): until you sneaked upon me
(Human): will you sell us some ferrite?
(Bronte): Depends on what you intend to do with them
(Human): we need weapons and armour
(Bronte): You must be of high rank
(Bronte): *stares at black plate brest*
(Human): I am a sergeant
(Human): maybe I will be Captain one day
(Bronte): Who do you work for
(Bronte): I have seen lots of your men around of late
(Human): I am of the Hauksen mercenary company
(Human): we will buy 1000 ferrite if you will sell
(Bronte): I'm afraid my hometown was attacked by men last night
(Human): not by me Lord Bronte
(Bronte): And as a result, I'm not too keen on fostering your weapon production
(Human): there are many mercenaries
(Human): some are mere drunkards, like the brigands
(Bronte): I see
(Human): others of us have honor
(Bronte): Tis true...
(Human): so will you supply us?
(Bronte): they had brigand company
(Bronte): I would but will need sometime to get your order ready
(Human): very well
(Human): I shall take my leave
(Bronte): I will be in Lerilin for a few nights
Thus the fighter resumed mining, in hopes of contacting the sergeant in due time
