| Aww, Pinckie and Brayne are Obie characters, so I didn't think this was out of character? When I see them in game, they RP about over throwing the Rat King and slaughtering innocent rat civillians, and that's just the direction of their characters, so how is being in character out of character? Just because it is similar to something from RL media? :/ |

I don't want to weigh in on where this topic belongs. I just wanted to note that neither player has broken 'character' since they were created, which is saying something. I also find their 'goal' highly amusing, at least from what little I've gathered of it. (Then again, I haven't seen the show.)
I'm curious. Was there ever a plot-line involving the Mirith sewers (to say nothing of the fabled Rat King) set down in Oberin's histories? |

I have no issue with the RP itself, which to be honest is quite charming.
My issue is with naming two characters what in essence amounts to "Pinky and the Brain", running around RPing about rat masterminds (which is the plot of the TV show) and calling it IC. It is not IC for Oberin. Famous names are not allowed for this very reason. I can pretty much guarantee that those two names would not have been allowed had the GMs known they were going to be played together as such. And honestly? The people involved should know better. I'm disappointed.
As I have said, the RP is quite good. You are welcome to continue it here in the Off-Topic forum, or change your names and continue your RP musings about the Rat King in an IC forum. |
